Seven weeks after being diagnosed with cancer, Lyn passed away on the 12th September 2010.
Ben's Tribute
The Bible has always been important to us, and Proverbs expresses things better than I could:
• “May you rejoice in the wife of your youth ... loving ... graceful.”
• “He who finds a wife finds what is good.”
• “A wife of noble character is worth far more than rubies ... she speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue ... her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her; ... a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. ... Give her the reward she has earned.”
That is my Lyn, my teenage love, my loving caring wife, my faithful co-labourer in 40 years of camping ministry, the wonderful, praying mother of our children and greatly loved Oma of our grandchildren.
I thank God for all that you have meant to me over the past 50 years. I love you. Enjoy Heaven where we will be together again one day.
Ben
As a family, we are overwhelmed by the love and support of so many friends. We have valued your prayers so
much, and the practical help was amazing. Thank you.

Ben passed away on the 8th November 2019 while he was out mowing his lawn.
He had slowed down recently but was still active obviously mowing his lawns and had come to our place to look after our kids, as he did every week, just two days before.
